Psalms 109:8 says... "
Sometimes I sit at my PC and scratch my head because of the stupidity of people who live in my country. I especially take issue with the Liberals who have that mental disorder that repeatedly rears it's ugly head where everything they do gets projected on our guys, and if our guys do something even minutely as bad, they want to "crucify" the person involved. Here is a perfect example.
Today, it came to my attention that there is an uproar over an email which was recently sent out by Kansas House Speaker Mike O'Neal (R-Hutchinson) to his Republican colleagues.
This involves the Psalms 109:8 Bible verse (according to the media reports, because the Bible uses slightly different wording).
According to multiple media sources, (and I do review multiple sources before commenting) they are saying this...

"Pray for Obama. Psalm 109:8." That's the slogan an email from O'Neal refers to, a phrase that's become popular in some circles on bumper stickers and other merchandise. The bible passage itself reads, "Let his days be few; and let another take his office." (Um, the Bible says "take his place, not his office." The real controversy arises in the next verse of Psalm 109, however, which continues, "May his children be fatherless and his wife a widow."
In a message accompanying the email, O'Neal writes: "At last -- I can honestly voice a Biblical prayer for our president! Look it up -- it is word for word! Let us all bow our heads and pray. Brothers and Sisters, can I get an AMEN? AMEN!!!!!!" ]]]
First, this thing has been around forever. I got one on election night when the Bama was elected by the ignorant masses. It's funny, and true as far as I'm concerned and O'Neal's office has insisted that his use of the psalm was referring only to the first segment, which they say simply shows support for Obama to be replaced as president. Can I get an AMEN to that?
Now back in 2009, it was reported that Jason Linkins, a Huffington Post suggested that Psalm 109:8 was "the latest thing in 'Debasing The Institutions You Pretend To Hold Dear In Order To Suggest That President Barack Obama Should Be Murdered Without Actually Coming Right Out And Saying So.'"
Huh? Was this guy serious? How does anyone with a reasonable mind come up with this assessment which is not taken in context?
The left in typical fashion is going nuts... yes even nuttier than they already are, and it was reported that this email has sparked a petition drive by a couple of clowns working with what at best can be described as a leftist wannabe church organization called Faithful America. Faithful America from what I have seen on their web site don't mention Jesus, but apparently hate the Family Research Council, and takes the side of that despicable Southern Poverty Law Institute and the slackers of the Occupy Wall Street movement who are still protesting and apparently have no desire to even look for jobs. The government should really investigate these people to see where that get money to live on.
Media sources state that "Two pastors delivered a petition signed by 30,000 people demanding that the speaker resign." O'Neal issued an apology, but his communications director said the speaker would not be resigning.
"He is using sacred scripture to flippantly suggest people should be praying for the death of the president," said Michael Sherrard, a spokesman for Faithful America, which is an ultra Liberal, Democrat supporting anti-Christian agenda politically driven online interfaith community based in Washington that organized the petition." Mr. Sherrard apparently has issues with sarcasm, and in looking at the organizations' web site, I can see them taking their own "liberties "with "our sacred scripture." This group advocates helping the needy, but missed a few verses in the Bible, I guess because they were not convenient, for example, the passage in the Bible found in 2 Thessalonians Chapter 3 starting at verse 7.
It specifically mentions this..: "(7) For you yourselves know how you ought to follow our example. We were not idle when we were with you, (8) nor did we eat anyone’s food without paying for it. On the contrary, we worked night and day, laboring and toiling so that we would not be a burden to any of you. (9) We did this, not because we do not have the right to such help, but in order to offer ourselves as a model for you to imitate. (10) For even when we were with you, we gave you this rule: “The one who is unwilling to work shall not eat.”
When I read the story yesterday on The Huffington Post, I looked at the comments and boy do leftists have a short memory. While they perceive that this verse Psalms is somehow a threat on the life of President Obama (one hell of a stretch), I challenged them to do a Google Image Search on 'KILL BUSH PROTESTER" and look at the signs that don't make you think they want someone killed, they actually say KILL BUSH! Look for yourself. My coup de gras reply after knit picking on a few clowns was this...

"All of the sudden and out of the blue, the Liberals who have been known to despise God and Jesus and Christians and Christianity and The Ten Commandments, et al... know and can quote the Bible flawlessly. IT'S A MIRACLE, ETHEL!
The Bible verse is very specific in the context which it is being used in this case, and not in the context that it is used in the Bible. I know that some concepts are difficult for some of you to grasp which is why I try to type slowly. You know, like when you clowns look at the Second Amendment of the Constitution and don't see it, or when you make things up regarding the First that don't really appear there, and so on...
Psalm 109:8 –“Let his days be few and brief; And let others step forward to replace him.” that SPECIFIC VERSE says nothing about killing anyone, but somehow Libs are saying that threatens the life of Obama? COO COO! COO COO!
Since you guys are really interested in the Word of God all of a sudden, The Bible also says
Ecclesiastes 10:2 "The heart of the wise inclines to the right, but the heart of the fool to the left."
Did you get that last verse "Faithful America?"
